Not in a blogging mood lately... :)

Blame it on the lovely weather in our beautiful state of Oregon. Blame it on the work that needed to be done around here. Or simply blame it on my non-creative streak.

But, here's my weekend in a nutshell...

1. Yay, we finally put dirt into the raised beds. They're beautiful.

2. We went to the Parenting Beyond Belief seminar with Dale McGowan (co-author and editor of the PBB book), and it was fantastic. Dale rocks, has plenty of helpful information, and is very kind. I truly enjoyed the seminar and got some valuable information.

3. Sunday we moved Shady Lady's house, which we achieved in record time, might I add. After lunch we went home and I spent the rest of the day, planting cabbage, broccoli and lettuce starts, pulling weeds, and beautifying my yard.

After a delicious dinner on the patio we sat, drank some wine, and felt quite accomplished. We'll enjoy the next couple of days with temperatures in the high 70s, before the Oregon rain and clouds return with temperatures in the 50s according to accuweather. Ugh!

  4. I'm with ya there... I'm noticing, not only my own slow down, but others as well (and not just yours...) I am wondering with spring springing and the ability to do more things outdoors (or in the case of this family-obligation! Baseball season!) if people are just more sidetracked than when we were more or less stuck indoors with the cold weather outside (at least in my corner of the world?)

No worries, though... I'm envious, too... I hope you'll post pictures and share the wine! (Somehow?)

  5. Yep, seems to be going around. I haven't been blogging long enough to see the trends but maybe I will start tracking them to see how it goes.
Sorry about the rain, darlin', but today we got snow!! I can't begin to safely plant things until around Memorial Day!

  7. How close are you to the Rogue River? We spent our honeymoon rafting down that river. I love Oregon. It is so beautiful.

  8. I think everyone has ups and downs and this shall pass! And what a good friend you are to help Shady Lady ... but I think the wine was probably a little motivator ;)
